Standing By

I poked my nose into the OBO front office today, and did not see any cardboard boxes or packing tape lying around. Could be the rumors were wrong, or could be I was a day or two early.

I'm late to the party, as usual. What rumors?

James: No big deal, but I'm checking on a political appointee who might have decided to resign in order to avoid any more Congressional hearings.

Aaah,
Well now, I never really trusted those Coolidge appointees!

Thanks James! That was a really shadowy post. I thought maybe TSB was trying to find out if everyone was fleeing DC because of the 'Ebola Summit' that starts Monday? Or congress left town without voting any money for retweets. gwb

Ebola and the AF Summitt, yes, that will be interesting. Washington DC will be pretty much vacant in August, so I don't predict any plagues. Did you see the CDC in Atlanta has taken in an Ebola patient? We have the elements for a zombie-type panic developing.

Yes TSB! I see they have room for 4 ebola patients in Atlanta and a total of 16 in the whole country. And James, the experts are saying the big stock market drop is due to the inflation in the cost of playing golf and Tiger Woods' receding hairline. Good Call!! gwb

TSB, James! Standby for NEWS!! German pilot who was first on the ground describes how all the evidence points ng fire. Interesting also that Google has removed the incriminating images. gwb

TSB: Credit for publicizing the above Canadian blogger goes to Pepe
Escobar. Has anyone noticed that the Canadians don't trust us anymore? gwb

TSB: (just discovered yesterday)
"People who find themselves at the juncture of worlds passing and worlds coming tend to be crushed like insects." Henry Brooks Adams

He was Secretary to Lincoln's Ambassador to Britain and credited by Modern Library with writing the most important non-fiction book of the 20th Century. The quote made me think of the Gazans and the Ukrainians. gwb

Interesting article about MH-17 WSB. As I am skeptical about ALL press releases from WHATEVER the source, this one does not escape that skepticism. Everything stated is possible to some extant. Here are some things that aroused my suspicions in the brief time I've had with this article. Why would any aircraft have anti tank rounds in it's main gun, unless it's a dedicated ground support aircraft. If true here, why would anyone use a ground support aircraft for air interception? Especially if it was all preplanned.

James: I think what the Canadian pilot is saying is this was not very smart on the part of the Ukrainians because anyone can see that this fire didn't come from the ground. I notice that yesterday the US and Ukrainians immediately changed their story just like the Isrealis quickly changed their story on the 'abducted soldier'. Let's wait and see if they ever get around to explaining those holes? gwb

James: Of course, I had this all screwed up. This OSCE investigator, at a little after 6:00min of this you tube vid says the cockpit had definite appearance of having been machine gunned. He had no idea what kind of shells but says the experts will definitely figure that all out. That video has disappeared from You Tube also.

Also, did you see that Tiger was 'carted off' from the big tournament? Seems he had spasms in his lumbricoris extremitems after falling out of a sand trap.
